04Recovery
Recovery is not the absence of training. It is training — the half of the work that decides how much of the other half you get to keep doing. This page is the argument, the daily practice it implies, and the objects built to make the practice automatic.
01The position
The desert does not reward speed. It rewards what lasts.
Most of this industry sells the sprint — the single session, the personal best, the day you went hardest. Dune sells the crossing. The desert does not hand anything to the fastest athlete on it; it hands it to the one still moving on the fourth day.
That is not a slogan about effort. It is a statement about where the limit actually sits. Almost nobody stops training because a session was too hard. They stop because the hours around the sessions were never treated as part of the work — and because “no days off” is a marketing position, not a training one.
So recovery sits at the centre of this product line rather than at the edge of it. Everything below is what that commitment looks like when it is turned into objects: a sequence you can actually repeat, and hardware quiet enough, portable enough and durable enough that repeating it is not an act of will.
02Daily practice
Six stages, in the order the day runs them. None of it is long. All of it is meant to happen without being scheduled — which is the only reason it survives a decade.
01
Within the hour
Sequenced pneumatic pressure from the ankle upward, running in the direction the lymphatic system already moves fluid. Twenty minutes between sessions is enough to take the heaviness out of the legs before the next one starts.
02
The same day
Fourteen millimetres of amplitude, deep enough to reach tissue rather than vibrate skin, with the applied pressure read at the head and shown on the body of the device — so technique is visible rather than guessed at the following morning.
03
Where a joint is complaining
Warmth where tissue needs to loosen, cold where it needs to settle. Applied deliberately, to one place, for a set length of time — rather than as whatever the room happens to be offering.
04
Every day, earned or not
Ten minutes on the floor working through the tissue that took the session. Unimpressive, unphotogenic, and the stage most likely to be skipped on the day it is most needed.
05
Overnight
Dark, quiet and uninterrupted, protected as deliberately as a training slot is. This is the least technical stage of the protocol and the one worth defending first.
06
Throughout
Water carried, so drinking it is not a decision. Unglamorous, repeated, and the easiest part of the day to keep.
03Night
Our position
Sleep is the most effective recovery intervention available and the cheapest to improve.
That position is why the night is in the range at all, and why the objects built for it are the least technical things the brand makes. They are small, cheap relative to everything else here, and used every single day — which is the whole argument for them.
The Personal Care collection04Measured, not claimed
These are the specifications of the systems themselves — pressure, amplitude, retention. What they do for any individual athlete is not something a product page is in a position to promise.
AEROFLOW™ — Pneumatic sequencing
KINETIC CORE™ — Percussive drive
DUNEWEAVE™ — Seamless knit
